November 2016
This is the reason why we flew all the way from the Philippines to France. Today, Notre Pere Marie Eugene of the Child Jesus will be beatified.
From our hotel, we all gathered at the pick up point just right outside the Palace of the Popes. Leading Bus No. 2 is our ever reliable priest, Fr. Kiko Dizon.
We are beatification ready!
With the pilgrims from Infanta.
A long line awaits us when we arrived at the venue. But because of the color of our wristband, we were allowed to enter the main hall and was ushered at the middle portion.

The altar is simple but appropriate for the special event in the history of the Carmel family.
Before the Eucharistic celebration, a sharing of reflection from different personalities was staged. Our very own bishop of Infanta joined the sharing, Bishop Bernard Cortez.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided by His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, representing His Holiness Pope Francis.

The relic of FME in procession.
The moment FME was declared blessed the white cloth covering his picture was unveiled.
This is the whole celebration of the beatification of FME.
Watch and be blessed!
After the mass, it was jubilation all over the place.
Just look at our faces!
Kahit kakaopera pa lang, papuri sa Diyos ang sigaw
dahil ang mahal nating si FME ay isa nang beato.
We join the whole Church and the heavenly hosts because another son of the Church was declared blessed!
