Colegio San Agustin - Makati launched a campaign for the victims of Habagat last Friendship Day and Man for All Men Day. Donations were collected from the three departments. (Thank you very much!)
We decided to give our collection to the people of Pampanga thru the SOCIAL ACTION OF PAMPANGA under the directorship of Fr. Francis Dizon.

Baranggay Malusac, Sasmuan, Pampanga. According to the SACOP coordinators this is one of the poorest baranggays in Pampanga.
The patron of the place - Our Lady of the Rosary :)
After the merienda, work, work work na!!!
First, sort out the goodies, then call out the recipients, distribute the thermal pack and smile, hehehe :)
============================================
Our recipients - the senior citizens of the barrangay, 150 of them.
One happy lolo got his thermal pack already!!!
Everybody took turns in distributing the packs - Fr. Joseph, Doc Amy, Sophie, Joru, Dianne, Steph, Zaldy, Cocoy, and yours truly :)
Tired but happy... right Fr. Joseph? (Er, padre? Padre? May signal ba padre? Hehehe)
Fr. Manny Contreras, the parish priest of the place, thanked us for choosing Malusac as the recipient of the thermal packs. He gave us the background of the place and his mission in this coastal area.
After the distribution of goods, Fr. Manny and his staff prepared lunch for all of us. Simple but very yummy viand :)
We thank the coordinators of SACOP for helping us out in the distribution of thermal packs in Brgy. Malusac - Miss Weng and Sir Rodel :)
Augustinians with Fr. Manny and the Coordinators of SACOP. We thank you for giving us the opportunity to reach out to our fellow Kapampangan brothers and sisters :)
Till we meet again! :)
As far as material provisions are concerned, a person ought not in the first place to be concerned about himself, but about the other...
If a person looks after himself only, he utterly disregards the basic law of life in community, that is, love. Augustine supports this position with several references to Paul’s hymn in praise of love.
"Love is not self-seeking" (1 Cor. 13:5), in other words, it is not love’s aim to serve only its own interests... Moreover, "the way of love is exalted above all other ways" (1 Cor. 12:31).
Thus our temporal care for others is given an eternal value, for love is the enduring element in the alleviation of human needs on earth. The needs of human beings are transitory; either they will be alleviated in this life or they will come to an end with death.
